AEJ stalwart Dr Horst Keller passes away

Our friend and colleague Dr. Horst Keller sadly died at the age of 76 on August 24. Horst was a charming and sociable colleague who was always a pleasure to be with. He was President of AEJ Germany in the nineties and always remained a member of the German section. Over the past years Horst has also been very engaged with the Belgian AEJ section. Most recently Horst represented Germany in the AEJ organisation and in this capacity attended many of the international Executive Committee meetings and annual General Assemblies, often accompanied by his partner Renate and his daughter Kristina to whom the AEJ offers its deepest condolences. We will miss his wise council in combination with his good sense of humour.

Horst’s journalistic career was very impressive and as a Professor of Journalism he brought and transferred his wealth of experience to the next generation. The AEJ will miss him deeply. At the upcoming AEJ Congress (Brussels, 22-24 November) we will commemorate Horst and his great impact on the world of Journalism and on our Association.
